Day 1: Tangier to Chefchaouen — Golden Hour Arrival
Depart Tangier mid-morning and drive south through the Rif Mountains, with a stop at a viewpoint overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar and Spain on the horizon. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the early-to-mid afternoon. Check into your medina riad. Your guide leads a 90-minute introduction walk — the main thoroughfare (Rue Hassan II), the central Plaza Uta el-Hammam with its crumbling kasbah, and a route through the quietest and most photogenic alleyways. Day 2: Chefchaouen — Sunrise, Spanish Mosque & Departure
Rise early and walk the medina before 8am — the blue city at its most serene. Your guide leads a morning walk: up to the Spanish Mosque on the hill above the city for the panoramic view that appears in every Chefchaouen photograph, then to the Ras el-Maa waterfall at the edge of the medina where a cold mountain stream runs past ancient laundry pools. Return through the craft souk for any final purchases. Breakfast on your riad rooftop. Depart Chefchaouen after breakfast — your driver can take you onward to Fes (3 hours), back to Tangier (2.5 hours), or to your next destination.
